PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
▪ Provide support to the project by maintaining a visible presence to the field performing site visits to the
entire project.
▪ Assist in the coaching, mentoring and implementation of the HSE programs at project sites such as
safety campaigns, behavioural safety, UCUA / safety observation card, safety walkabout, toolbox talks.
▪ Participate in project site toolbox talks and mass safety talks.
▪ Inform the project management team and supervision of any new or conflictive legislative matters that
could impact the project.
▪ Regularly conduct HSE inspection / surveillance such as tools & equipment safety, scaffolding safety,
high risk activities i.e., hot works, working at heights, confined space entry, lifting, diving, etc.
▪ Prepare daily / weekly HSE reports.
▪ Ensure that all incidents are reported immediately. Participate and assist in the investigation of
incidents to determine root cause, and corrective actions where necessary.
▪ Ensure incident corrective actions are followed up on and completed.
▪ Verify contractor / subcontractor site workers training and competencies.
▪ Ensure safety obligations of the clients are carried out and communicated to the own and contractor /
subcontractor PMT, supervisors, foremen.
▪ Conduct safety induction / safety briefing to new workers and visitors.
▪ Ensure safety boards with postings including but not limited to: Health and safety policies of company,
Client’s and Contractors’, HSE statistics, project hazard assessment / JSA, location of first aid, etc. are
maintained and current.
▪ Prepare for, and participate in HSE audits such as ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and/or Client audits.
EXPERIENCE:
▪ At least 10 years of relevant working experience in HSE field at offshore project site in the oil & gas and marine industry
▪ Working experience onboard FSO/FPSO is an advantage
QUALIFICATION:
▪ Certificate / Diploma / Degree in Health & Safety Management / Environmental Management /
Engineering
▪ Professional certification such as NEBOSH IGC / US CSP / DOSH is advantageous.
▪ Valid BOSIET certification
