• Analyse casting defects to determine root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence
• Reviews customer specifications and develops manufacturing methods
• Leads others in the use of statistical methods and experimental design
• Applies statistical methods to solve problems and design experiments
• Prepare technical documentation and provide support for new program, EC, part launches and process changes at Drive Automotive including PPAP, ISIR Control Plan, FMEA, E/C as it relates to supplier quality
• Manage small to moderate projects or major tasks within projects
• Identify needs not addressed by current material solutions and lead development of new materials technologies
• Support failure investigations
• Support materials development, processes, and applications
• Minimum of 10 plus years’ experience
• A relevant degree such as Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Science, Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Technical, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, Education, Metals
• Expert in metallurgical component failure analysis
• Expert in ferrous and Nickel based superalloys and powder metallurgy required
• Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written communications and able to produce and present high quality technical presentations for communication of complex information to leadership or customers
• Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy or Materials Science
• Broad experience in thermo-mechanical processing technologies, including expertise in any thermo-mechanical processing techniques for metals such as rolling, forging and extrusion
• Deep knowledge of metallurgy in any of the following alloy systems, Al, Ti, Ni, Co, and Fe
• Must be able to speak English and preferably French
