1.Key Objectives
This is a shift position on duty to monitor Machinery Space equipment, general housekeeping and aiding the duty Mechanics as helpers as required.
2. Responsibilities
To work a four weeks on, four week off roster on the FSO Orkid.
Covering the Machinery space on a 12 hour shift, rotating night and day shift.
To carry out log readings of all key equipment and reporting any deviation to the Duty.
To ensure chemical tanks are topped up.
To check oil levels on all critical equipment and top up as required.
Monitor and pump bilges as necessary.
Responsible for the general housekeeping in the Machinery Space.
Assist Mechanics on duty as a general helper as required on Dayshift.
3. Working Relationship
Report directly to the Duty Sr. Maintenance Technician or call the Maintenance Technician during the nightshift.
Good in English and communications skills
General understanding of key Machinery Space equipment and the criticality of this equipment for safe operations
