Primary Objective: The Electrician (ATEX) plays a crucial role in ensuring the electrical systems’ safety, functionality, and compliance with ATEX standards (ATmosphères EXplosibles) on offshore drilling rigs. Responsibilities include:

1. Electrical Systems Maintenance:

• Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs of electrical equipment and systems in compliance with ATEX guidelines to ensure safe operations in potentially explosive atmospheres.
• Troubleshoot and rectify electrical faults and issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime.

2. Installation and Upgrades:

• Assist in the installation, modification, and upgrading of electrical systems and components according to ATEX regulations and project requirements.
• Ensure proper documentation and compliance with safety protocols during installation procedures.

3. Compliance and Safety Procedures:

• Implement and adhere to Toolbox Talks (TBT) and Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems to ensure safe work practices and adherence to safety regulations.
• Conduct regular inspections to verify compliance with electrical standards and industry best practices.

4. Emergency Response and Support:

• Participate in emergency response drills and provide support during electrical-related emergencies or incidents.
• Collaborate with the team to develop and execute contingency plans for electrical contingencies.
