Offshore Materials Coordinator

Job Description :

Receive and verify all incoming materials and equipment from the shore base against outbound cargo manifests and flight manifests, ensuring accurate coding and proper storage at designated offshore locations.

Coordinate with third-party service company personnel to receive, track, and maintain records of all materials and equipment mobilized to the offshore installation.

Liaise with the Shore Base Logistics Supervisor, Marine Coordinator, Helicopter Coordinator, and Shore-Based Materials Coordinator regarding material and equipment requirements, subject to approval from the Offshore Logistics Authority Holder and Drilling Supervisor.

Prepare equipment and materials for return to the shore base, issue inbound manifests, and transmit all relevant documentation prior to vessel departure.

Control the day-to-day issuance, tracking, and movement of materials and equipment onboard the offshore installation.

Ensure all Dangerous Goods are packed, labelled, documented, and handled in compliance with applicable IATA and IMDG regulations.

Perform daily reconciliation of material movements and transactions with the shore-based Materials Coordinator.

Coordinate with Drilling Engineers and the Finance Department to reconcile material consumption, inventory transactions, and usage records when required.

Conduct physical stock counts on a random basis, at the completion of well activities, or monthly as instructed by the Logistics Supervisor and Finance Department.

Maintain complete and accurate hard-copy and electronic filing systems to support traceability, audit requirements, and operational reporting.

Supervise the safe handling and lifting of materials and equipment to ensure efficient offshore logistics operations.

Ensure all cargo receipt and return activities are carried out safely and in full compliance with HSE policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Promote and support the achievement of Zero Dangerous Acts and Unsafe Conditions, as well as Zero Lost Time Incidents (LTI), through proactive safety awareness and compliance.

Job Requirements :

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

Minimum 7–10 years of experience in logistics and materials management within the Oil & Gas industry, with significant experience supporting offshore drilling operations on Mobile Offshore Drilling Units (MODUs).

Strong knowledge of drilling and completion equipment, tools, consumables, and related oilfield services.

Proven experience in offshore inventory control, materials coordination, and cargo management.

Familiarity with offshore manifest preparation, cargo reconciliation, and material transaction processes.

Good understanding of Dangerous Goods regulations, including IATA and IMDG requirements.

Experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders, including drilling teams, logistics personnel, marine operations, aviation services, and third-party contractors.

Knowledge of lifting operations and safe material handling practices in offshore environments.

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.

Fluent in both written and spoken English.

Physically fit and medically capable of working offshore under rotational schedules.

Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accurate records and perform effectively under operational pressure.
