Lead the planning and engineering design of all development wells for Block B.
Work closely with the Drilling Team Lead and act on their behalf when required in matters related to well engineering and planning.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the achievement of technical well objectives.
Prepare drilling project AFEs, budgets, risk assessments, and mitigation plans.
Prepare and/or review Drilling Programs, amendments, and End of Well Reports.
Ensure compliance with well design, well integrity, drilling procedures, and operational requirements.
Prepare Management of Change (MOC) documentation for modifications to drilling operating procedures.
Develop Drilling Technical Limits and monitor their implementation.
Provide technical support and monitor assigned drilling operations and projects.
Participate in technical tender preparation and evaluation for major Drilling & Completion packages.
Manage assigned service contracts to ensure compliance with technical requirements and project schedules.
Provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentoring to Drilling Engineers.
Education & Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
IWCF Level 4 (Surface Stack) Well Control Certification.
Professional Experience
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in a similar Senior Drilling Engineer position.
Experience working with international operators or high-profile projects is an advantage.
Familiarity with Vietnam’s tendering processes.
Technical Competencies
Strong knowledge of well engineering, well planning, drilling processes, and procedures.
Proficiency in well design software, particularly Landmark Drilling Software.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret engineering data.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Professional working environment within an oil & gas drilling project, directly involved in geological operations and reservoir evaluation.
Opportunity to work closely with Drilling, Subsurface, G&G teams, and specialized oil & gas service contractors.
