Logistics Support is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of materials throughout the procurement and logistics process. The position supports the logistics team by coordinating transportation activities, monitoring material deliveries, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely communication with stakeholders to meet project schedules and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Arrange and coordinate transportation of materials, including scheduling pickups and deliveries.
Select suitable carriers and transportation methods based on cost, delivery timelines, and operational requirements.
Prepare and process shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading, Packing Lists, and customs-related documents.
Monitor shipment status and provide timely updates to relevant stakeholders.
Resolve transportation-related issues such as delays, damages, shortages, or delivery discrepancies.
Maintain accurate records of logistics activities, shipping documents, and transportation logs.
Prepare daily, weekly, and periodic reports on material delivery status and logistics performance.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
Respond to inquiries regarding shipment status, delivery schedules, and logistics matters.
Coordinate closely with procurement teams, logistics partners, and internal stakeholders to ensure efficient material delivery.
Track all Purchase Orders (POs), including FCA, EXW, and CPT purchase orders.
Expedite and monitor material deliveries to support project schedules.
Escalate logistics bottlenecks and delivery issues to the TA Lead when necessary.
The successful candidate should possess a strong understanding of logistics operations and supply chain processes, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
University degree is required.
Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
Proven experience in logistics, transportation, warehousing, or supply chain operations.
Good knowledge of logistics principles, transportation processes, and supply chain practices.
Sound understanding of Incoterms 2020.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in logistics software and ERP systems.
Experience using SAP Ariba and/or SAP ECC is preferred.
Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
