EPCI Lead Cost Controller

Job Description :

  • Manage and coordinate the EPCI Cost Management System (Excel-based).
  • Ensure EPCI contractor reporting and invoicing processes comply with contractual and procedural requirements.
  • Oversee contractor cost inputs and all cost-related activities for EPCI scope.
  • Coordinate cost control activities for CPP Topsides and Living Quarters (LQ) scopes.
  • Act as focal point for Management of Change (MOC), including review, assessment, and cost updates.
  • Prepare and consolidate monthly cost reports (VOWD, EAC, commitments, cash calls, forecasts, etc.).
  • Monitor budgets, expenditures, and commitments to ensure effective cost control.
  • Provide cost trending analysis and forecasting for the project.
  • Verify contractor invoices in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Support the review of cost estimates, variations, and claims from EPCI contractors.
  • Maintain cost tracking systems including variance registers, change registers, and work orders.
  • Interface with PMT, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and relevant stakeholders.
  • Identify cost risks and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Report cost overruns and non-compliance issues to the Project Controls team.

Job Requirements :

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business Administration.
  • Membership in a recognized professional institution is an advantage.
  • Good command of English (spoken and written).

Experience:

  • 10–15 years of experience in project cost control.
  • Minimum 5 years working on major Oil & Gas projects.
  • At least 5 years in a supervisory/lead role.
  • Strong experience in:
    • Cost control, forecasting, and risk management
    • Management of Change (MOC) processes
    • Time impact analysis
    • Budget planning and cost monitoring

Skills & Competencies:

  • Proficient in Excel and cost control software/tools such as SAP, Primavera P6, Ecosys, Kildrummy, Crystal Ball, etc.
  • Strong understanding of EPCI project phases: Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, Installation, and Commissioning.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work independently and in a multicultural environment.
